A Small Change in Plans

I've decided to do something slightly different with this review blog. Lately I've had so much on my plate that I simply haven't been able to muster up the time, energy, or concentration to write reviews of either bad OR good games. The infrequent posting schedule makes having a separate column for both good and bad games outright laughable. The one-sentence reviews were an easy out, but I can't do that more than once or twice in a blue moon without making the entire concept of a review blog pretty pointless.

I have decided therefore to orient this particular one to regular posts as well as reviews. I'll be posting my informal thoughts on video games I'm playing or news I've read, a task much more likely to be completed on a regular basis. I do after all have a journal but feel posts of that nature don't really belong there, so I'll kill two birds with one stone and put them here.

Good Games Deserve Attention Too

Naturally since I love to play games I really do spend more time with good games than bad. This sometimes leads to a shortage of material, although all I really need to do is bust out some of the older systems for some easy cheap shots. Still, I get the urge to talk about the good games I'm playing, so I've started a sister blog called New Game +. Naturally accolades aren't as funny, but I'm hoping it can still be entertaining.

My compatriot Fastlou and I have a lot in common. The most relevant to this blog: we're both sick bastards and enjoy the pain of terrible entertainment. Together we are the Dynamic Duo of True Crap; he specializes in movies, I specialize in games. We've attempted to get our own site together for some time with which to review both the good and the bad, but putting a full site together requires work and we are also the Dynamic Duo of Laziness. Besides, as any reader of Seanbaby or Something Awful knows, it's the bad that's funny to talk about...so an easy-to-use blog of crap reviews became the obvious solution.

I'll be starting off with some edited and revamped reviews already written for the aforementioned vaporware review site, and then moving on into uncharted territory of still more games that just hurt to play. These games will be both new and old and from any system, because we all know that success is fleeting but the stench of failure is everlasting. Naturally because of the nature of this writing qualities such as "fairness," "thoroughness," and "journalistic integrity" are right out the window, so take comfort - any insinuations or outright insults are intentional and something I revel in each and every day.
